Top ten most recognizable women in music

Top ten most recognizable women in music

1 → Madonna

I think this is obvious. Next :]

2 → Debbie Harry

In the mid-1970's, Blondie was born and a fashion icon was made and her name is Debbie Harry. Her style has quickly been recongized with the word 'punk' and still does to this day,

3 → Britney Spears

Though she may be going through a rough patch right now, Britney Spears has came and transformed the pop scene. She's a craze to the entertainment world.

4 → Mariah Carey

Mariah hasn't changed much; she still looks the same and has the same amazing voice in which she still uses. Just hopefully, she won't go back to acting :P

5 → Cyndi Lauper

What is there to say about Cyndi that doesn't show in the picture above? She's an amazing, care-free woman and performer.

6 → Gwen Stefani

She used to 'just a girl', but she's grown with ever-changing style that makes you remember what she has achieved in her lifetime.

7 → Cher

Out of the bunch, I think Cher equally has had a 'few' crazy outfits as Cyndi Lauper. We know her best from performing with Sonny Bono with their hit, 'I Got You, Babe'. Her voice and style have made her one of the most recongizable women in music.

8 → Christina Aguilera

Christina has also gone through changes of style: bubble gum popster, 'dirrty' and now classic mom-to-be. I believe when it comes to her, you either love her or hate her.

9 → Shirley Manson

Being the lead singer of Garbage since 1994, Shirley has helped the scene, along with Gwen Stefani, of having girls wanting to play music. Though she used to be bullied due to her hair color in school, she has certainly inspired girls today to be themselves and nobody else.

10 → Joan Jett

She loves rock 'n roll and is still performing to this day. She influences young girls to play instruments and be in bands to continue to spread inspiration.
